It's so inspiring to see inside of Gabrielle (Coco) Chanel's apartment on 31 rue Cambon, Paris. Almost everything, from chandelier to sofa, in the place has been either custom-made by Coco herself and therefore, reflects her personal life and style.
Looking at these photograph, we can recognize some key Chanel themes:
- The omni-presence of dark red (Chanel red lipstick and lining of purses)
- Bird cage (Coco fragrance ad with Vanessa Paradis)
- Wheat coffee table (Chanel Spring 2010)
- Lion statue and figurines (Lion head purse and costume jewelry)
From every corner of these rooms, we can see Mr Lagerfeld's inspiration for his recent collections. Yes, this apartment is Chanel's archive itself!
