SHOPPING - Target X 3.1 Phillip Lim
I've been trying to log on Target.com since noon (midnight ET) but was only able to access the collection around 6pm (6am ET)...what time does everything go on live on their website anyways?!?
Naturally, everything in XS and S are already sold out...but lucky me, I just wanted to "BOOM!" sweatshirt and don't mind it being a size M. While at it, I felt the need to be a responsible shopper and pick up a few extra pieces, in case I regret later and all sizes are completely sold out.
Did you get anything?
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!
Thanks for making fun of awkward situations, challenging my very opinionated perspectives, holding my hand when needed and sharing every moment with me in the past 6 years...happy anniversary babe!

LFW SPRING '14 - Julien Macdonald
(Julien Macdonald Spring 2014)
Probably the sexiest collection you'll find at London Fashion Week, Julien Macdonald's spring line oozes sensuality with strategic sheer panels and lots and lots of embellishments! All what a girl needs to feel and look spectacular!

TARGET X 3.1 Phillip Lim
It was the Phillip Lim for Target launch party in NYC and what a scene! Jessica Alba, Solange Knowles and Maria Sharapova were among the crowd sporting the collection. Obviously, the "Boom!" sweater, a riff on last year's "Ka-Pow!", was the IT item flying off the shelves! Honestly, I wouldn't mind getting my hands on one either.
Although the collection is due to launch at Target and Target.com on Sept 15th, rummors are that some stores accidentally put the limited edition pieces on the floor and are now already on ebay!

Pets in Fashion
I couldn't resist sharing these adorable four-legged fashionistas with all of you...they are just too cute!

NYFW SPRING '14 - Altuzarra
(Altuzarra Spring 2013)
I was hoping to blog more about the collection of NYFW, but so far...everything has felt short. I must say I was even kinda disappointed by Mr Wang's show, which was the single collection I was most looking forward.
Well, Altuzarra saves my fashion soul! Even with that much legs/cleavage/midriff, everything fell effortlessly sensual than in-your-face sexy. The tailoring is so cleaver, making the models appear like they are half undressed! With an overall clean and lean silhouette, this is what the French editors would wear (if they were to wear non-French brands)!

SHOPPING - Cap It
Spent the whole day yesterday in the pouring rain helping a girlfriend style the final contestants of Miss Universe China for Fashion Night Out Shanghai...I must say, it was both fun AND stressful! Of course, things didn't go as planned...and of course, there was plenty of drama! But hey, would you expect anything else when it comes to a beauty pageant?!?
And on the way, since I didn't bring an umbrella, I found the perfect black felt cap with leather (actually, I think it's pleather) detailing at H&M! I went home a happy camper. :)

NYFW SPRING '14 - Robert Rodriguez
(Robert Rodriguez Spring 2014)
In my opinion, Robert Rodriguez has hit it off with all the right notes: clean lines, neutral palette, unconventional yet perfect tailoring. The city girl in me wants to wear everything from this collection, especially the white octagon shaped dress with black mesh insert and the white cape blazer and black lace skirt (the two last looks)! And for a cocktail party, I really wouldn't mind the ostrich feather top and high waisted silk shorts...as chic as any cocktail dress but far more practical (eat as much as I want and dance however I please)!

TRES CHIC TOT STYLE - Dolce & Gabbana
(Dolce & Gabbana Child Winter 2014)
It's officially back to school this past monday! If you have kids, you'll know it's always hectic with registration, orientation, transition phase, not to mention all the supplies to buy for the new school calendar year.
One thing I do enjoy is all the Back-to-School uniforms...they are soooo cute! Reminds me of my own uniform at Notre-Dame where I attended high school...but in miniature! I mean how cute are those black and white tweed outfits with a giant black ribbon for girls?!?
Well, now that I got some inspiration, I'll be heading to Gap, where it's a little more budget friendly, and pick up some polos and kakis for my son.

MAIN EVENT - An Indian Princess' Birthday Extravaganza
Last night I attended my dear girlfriend's big Fabulous Forties birthday party at the Peninsula here in Shanghai. The theme was Bollywood Bling, which was actually a weekend long celebration with pre-party dinner and post-party spa day.
I've been excited about the event for weeks now, not only because it gives me a great excuse to dress up like a Bollywood star, but mostly because many of our oversea friends have flown in to attend.
And with the weather clearing up and a nice breeze on the patio of a penthouse suite on the Bund, it was a perfect evening (into late night) with lots of laughter, dancing and catching up with old friends!
