OBSESSION DU JOUR - Lover Lace Dress

I have 3 weddings in the coming two months.  And as excited as the brides themselves, I started to flick through magazines and search online for inspiration...yes, I do like the idea of preparing for the wedding itself more than the actual ceremony...

Anyways, the first thing that came to my mind is that breathtaking dress worn by Hanneli.  It's from an Australian brand called Lover that makes beautiful romantic yet modern lace dress.  This particular style is the Serpent Lace Dress, and came in black, red, navy and white.  All four colours are striking, but the white really stands out!

Ooooooo...I'm in love with the lover dress!

OUTFIT DU JOUR - Desperate Housewife

So let me first set the records straight: I don't watch reality TV!  In fact, I barely watch television in general...just movies and recently, lots of cartoons with my son.

Naturally, I am amazed to find how many cities the Real Housewives franchise has expanded to (NYC, Orange County, New Jersey, just to name a few).  They even reached the northern border to Vancouver!

How do I know this?!?  Well, let's just say that some of my friends follow the Housewives religiously!  And I so happen to be there, hanging out with them, during one of their Vancouver series marathon.  And it also just so happens that I'm wearing the exact same dress as one of the housewives' on the show...how ironic?!?  But of course, with my straw hat and gladiator flats, I don't exactly exude that socialite/housewife status!

TRES CHIC TIPS - Heel Dice

I came across these Heel Dice, which at first sight, seems very odd.  But upon further observation, this is one of the most ingenious emergency styling tools ever!

These lucite dice are meant to be worn with stiletto heels (yes, sexy heels are back as we are all getting tired of seeing chunky platforms) to avoid ruining your gorgeous Manolo's in a chic outdoor event.  Not only will they protect your heels, they will also provide comfort when walking thru an all-terrain surface (think about those summer garden weddings!).

Isabel Marant's take on Western Cowboy boots with exceptional detailing and sexy silhouette.  Perfectly hip when worn with skinny jeans tucked in and completely edgy when worn with a flirty dress.

Again, I'm in love with Isabel Marant's boots!  And again, I'll be disappointed because they'll be sold out!!!

OUTIFT DU JOUR - Typhoon

Tropical storms are very common in the south east asia, but it rarely hits Shanghai.  This week, we got a little taste of hit.  Honestly, it was nothing that severe (at least not in my neighbourhood!).  But obviously, for our friends & family overseas, simply watching the weather updates with coverage of parts of Shanghai being flooded and a toll of 2 death + many injured, it's a bit worrisome!

So here I am, mom, the day after Typhoon!  No damage, no injury, not even bruises!  Just a few mosquito bites!

Rag & Bone Fall 2012

I love the carefree street style attitude of Rag & Bone.  Although I can't complain about the weather these days, I do have to admit I'm starting to look forward to fall.

INSIDE + OUT

Are you like me when it comes to beauty products?  I mean, do you find an amazing product and start buying back-ups in case if you suddenly run out (your kid accidentally knock off the jar) or the manufacturer decides to discontinue without warning?

I had a long debate for trying Skinceutials CE Ferulic (not only because I was afraid of potential skin reactions but mostly because it's not easily available, especially in Canada and they require consultation i.e you cannot just buy it online...how annoying?!?).  And how that I'm down 1/4 of my first bottle, I suddenly feel the urge of stocking up!  Yes, it's really good (at least for my skin)!

So I went on their website and found their new INSIDE + OUT Photoaging Solution, which includes a full size CE Ferulic and a full size Physical Fusion for $162 instead of $178 if bought separately.  I can always use a bottle of sunscreen for face (especially in China) and I love the sound of a bargain!!!

GIRL CRUSH - Elin Kling

Named the "Sexiest Cyber Star" by the Victoria's Secret's What is Sexy? list earlier this year, Elin Kling has been a long due girl crush of mine.  Not even 30 yet, she has achieved a career in fashion with her famous Swedish blog Style by Kling, including her own show and online magazine Style By.

The girl even launch her own collection (the gorgeous dress from the last picture is her own design) with Swedish giant H&M last year!  What can I say?!?  The girl has style, attitude and legs (a very dangerous combination IMO).
