3 week wait list

We were at Au Pied de Cochon, celebrity chef Martin Picard's restaurant, for a very very belated birthday dinner (mine & a girlfriend who's birthday is a few days after mine, both in january).  It took me 4 phone calls and 3 weeks to get a table for 8 that is not at 5pm or 9pm.  Finally, here we are, ready to savor their famous foie gras and pig feet!

Au Pied de Cochon specializes in regional gourmet cuisine, so if you like rustic food and not afraid 1000+ calories per dish, you'll be in for a treat!  I ordered my usualy "crispy PDC salad" and "foie gras hamburger" with a mug of beer!

I'm now fois gras happy and 2 lbs heavier!

RED LIPS - Cheap or Chic?

Humm...really not sure if I like it or hate it.  I have mix feeling about this red lips business.  Love the colour but not sure if it's the right shade of red for me.  Love how it accentuates my lips but not sure if I have the lip shape to have such a focus.  Does it look cheap or chic?

Products used for this look:

Face - Etude House bb cream in #2; Make Up For Ever shine on powder in  #3; Bobbi Brown blush in pale pink
Eyes - Bobbi Brown corrector in bisque; Anna Sui liquid eyeliner in #201; MAC mineralize eyeshadow in inter-view; L'Oreal double extend mascara in black
Eyebrow - MAC eye brows in spiked; MAC brow set in clear
Lips - Nars velvet matte lip pencil in cruella; MAC lipglass

Elephant Belt (part 2)

Remember my post about the Mimi Di N elephant belt I won on ebay?  Well, look who else has the same one in silver!!!  While browse on the Purse Forum today, I came accross some sneak peak pictures of Olivia Palermo for TIBI.  I wonder if that's why these vintage belts are selling for such sky high amounts?  But then again, this picture was only posted yesterday...In any cases, Olivia just confirmed my choice was a wise investment!

Seeing in RED

(Agent Provocateur)

(Lanvin)

(Christian Louboutin)

Valentine is only a short few days away, and this year, I'm determined to dress to the occasion.  In red of course!  Red is the colour of love, passion and lust, which all points to getting a new set of lingery.  If I can indulge in luxury intimates, Agent Provocateur is on top of my list.  I mean, isn't the brand name self-explanatory?

My second velentine's staple is a red dress.  I have been lusting after a Lanvin red dress that beautifully drapes and molds my curves.  However, I'm most likely going to settle for something more casual, especially if my 6 month old will be joining us on our date.

And how can I forgo my red soles?  Every girl needs a pair red soled Christian Louboutin heels, preferably in patent black.  Thank you.

Last, I might attempt the red lips...I've tried a few times in the past but was never able to achieve the ideal neutral eyes/red lips combo.  My small asian eyes need lots and lots of mascara to brighten up so a bare eye makeup that can also enhance my features will need a few practice rounds.

What will you be wearing on the day of love?

Borrowed from the boys

Something about wearing menswear inspired clothing makes me feel even more sexy than a bodycon dress...it's laid-back, unpretentious and so inviting.  With my petite frame, I sometimes shop in men's or even boys' section, but shirts and jackets usually dont fit well at the shoulder.

Oh....but this shirt I like...I like the luxurious crisp cotton, I like the tailored fit, but mostly, I like the golden knot cufflinks that comes with it!

Shirt - Ralph Laurent Purple Lable (http://www.leboudoir.co/); Pants - Zara; Shoes - Mogil (http://www.leboudoir.co/)

SPRING 11: Marchesa

(Marchesa Spring 2011 Collection)

With wedding season at its peak, Marchesa's spring 2011 collection is best suited for all those who seek high glamour, high voltage and high impact on their big day.  My wedding preparation days are long over, but I wouldn't mind slipping into one of these dresses to attend one of many weddings we are invited to or just to dance around my livingroom!

OUTFIT DU JOUR - Lady in blue

On day two of my sale, I needed a comfy t-shirt dress.  One that allows me to run around without constraints but still chic and presentable.

Dress - Bordeau; Earrings - Fallon; Ring - Dominic Jones; Thighs - Hue

Camera ready

Some of my friends came over and we were able to maximize our downtime today by taking some lookbook pictures for Le Boudoir.  While styling, our photographer took some "behind the scene" pictures which I thought was very cute!  See the final product on http://www.leboudoir.co/

MAIN EVENT - Mtl Private Sale

After two long days and a few extra bucks in the pocket, it's finally over!  I can now clean up my living room and let my 6 month old make the mess!  Thanks again to everyone who came to help and support!
