I've always loved quirky accessories and can certainly appreciate when a designer can make fun of fashion...but would I actually drop over $1.5K (most likely around $2K) on a necklace that spell out "HELP"?!?

OUTFIT DU JOUR - Ride It

For those of us who were raised in North America, and hence getting our driver's licence at 16 and driving our parents car as soon at the first opportunity, getting around in the hectic Shanghai streets on a scooter is actually...quite refreshing!  But obviously, for those who are raised in Europe or in Asia and practically "born" on a scooter, then it's nothing that exciting.

So this is my "Scooter Girl" outfit:

• retro helmet (safety first) - check
• old t-shirt and ripped jeans (gotta be practical here) - check
• flip flop (to blend in with the locals) - check

SHOPPING - Iro Blackheart

This is one thing I like about online shopping...I had completely forgot that I ordered this dress and had it shipped to my mom's friend in NJ (to avoid int'l s&h fees and duty) until this week when she came to Shanghai with my 1/2 luggage worth of stuff I had purchased online (did I really buy all that?!?).

Among the pile, this IRO Blackheart midnight blue sequin dress with a deep back-V.  I just tried it on and it's so comfortable being a stretch knit and boxy fit...no need to suck my gut in while trying to look as natural as possible during my next dinner event!

Sorry for going MIA in the past few days...my VPN stopped working, which means no Youtube, no FB, no Blogger and most other social media platform (that's the beauty of living in a Communist country...).

OUTFIT DU JOUR - Hungry

This summer heat has ruined everything (my hair, makeup and my clothes) except my appetite!  Not sure if it's because Olivia is getting a bigger appetite and therefore so am I, but all I can say is that I'm HUNGRY!

So I figured that the HLK's 7 spice grilled shrimp salad and a tall ice latte is the perfect equilibrium of a satisfying/tasty lunch and a healthy meal.  Want to join me?

OBSESSION DU JOUR - Celine Handcuff Bracelet

The top left gold tone one is the handcuff bracelet that got me obsessed...it reminds me of lock...such a simple design yet made with perfection.  Simple enough to pair with all my other bracelet and elegant enough as a stand alone.  Celine is just good that getting that right.
