OUTFIT DU JOUR - 5 days later

It's been 5 days since we got here and my condo is finally in live-in condition.  I mean, it now has all the necessities that we come to expect and take for granted, such as toilet paper and milk.  And finally, I finished organizing all my clothes and shoes, so I can get out of my leggings and sweatshirts (I've literally been wearing only that since I got on the plane)!

Ayden's alphabet books teach him "C" is for "Cat"...but I much prefer "C" for "Cashmere"!  With the cold weather settling in, I'm in very much need of anything cashmere.  And with my birthday coming up, I'm gonna make it a big excuse to get cashmered-up!

• A yellow cashmere beanie will go with any of my black/grey/kaki coats (and the colour makes me happy)
• Black and white graphic print cashmere blanket would be perfect on my white leather couch
• Or a cashmere robe to lounge around the house (instead of my cotton one that is looking rather tired)
• White white batwing hooded poncho sounds perfect on my "fat" days
• And I always loved the idea of a cashmere covered hot water bottle
• Rick Owens ribbed long sleeve sweater is probably as flattering as it gets
• Why get a scarf when I can get a hooded scarf?!? (I do like to have my options open)
• And last but not least on my wish list, Missoni taupe cashmere leg warmers

Oh...so much cashmere, so little money...If I really want to be selfless, I should get the blanket.  That way, at least the whole family will enjoy it!

GIRL CRUSH - Mila Kunis

She's best known for your role as Jackie in "That 70's Show", but my crush on Mila started her finest performance is as Lily in the 2010's thriller, "Black Swan" (in my humble opinion).  I mean I wanted to be a Black Swan for Halloween that year...that costume, that hair, that drama...except I wasn't really in a ballerina figure given the fact I just gave birth two months prior...

Anyways, I just saw "Friends with Benefits" on the plane going to Montreal before the holidays and was reminded how much I adore her and the editorial she did for W Magazine when her role was nominated as "Best Supporting Actress" at the Golden Globe.  Stunning!

OUTFIT DU JOUR - What's real if you can't spot the fake?

Today was the last day of packing for our family's big move to Shanghai...8 luggage total and only one of them was for me!  I feel very selfless giving all our luggage allowance for Ayden and family stuff.  Needless to day, I didn't pack all my shoes and purses (in fact, not even 1/10).

Anyways, my good friend invited us for japanese for dinner.  Since Ayden was sick the whole week and we didn't exactly have a New Year's Eve party as planned, I decided to wear my bling dress from FCUK today.  No need for special occasion to wear sequin!  And for casualness, I added faux fur mitten and real fur eskimo hat.

Often than not, I'm inspired by glossy magazine editorials, especially the ones that seems out-of-this-world...the kind of theatrical themes that can only exist in print, not in real life!  

However, I must admit that it is sometimes refreshing to see editorials of that are wearable.  The kind of clothes that will actually make to go out there and buy it just because I know I would look like such a cool girl wearing those pieces everyday!

And to be honest, I even like the hair, although I might be a little too old for rainbow coloured meches...
