SHOPPING - I'm so good at being bad

(Alexander Wang Freja Booties in Eggshell)

(Celine Sandals in Nude)

(Acne Hydro Wedge Boots in Blk)

(Loeffler Randall Mesh Sandals in Grey)

(Miu Miu Stivali Boots in Blk)

(Limited Edition Prada Baroque Sunglasses)

So I went shopping today...can't really say I came home empty handed!!!  Yes, again, I went a little shoe happy and ended up with 5 pairs of shoes!  Some I've been eyeing for a long time, others were unstudied and plain instant love.  As much as I would like to say that "I'm done for the season", I know myself too well and do not want to lie...

Anyways, Holt Renfrew on Bloor st in Toronto also received the Limited Edition Prada Baroque Eyewear collection.  They are such collector's item that I must simply try.  To my surprise, I actually found a pair that was not completely theatrical!  In fact, they are actually very flattering on me.  So they came home with me too!  Ok ok, I'll try to behave for the rest of the month...that's as much as I can promise!

ps.  sorry for the low quality pictures

OUTFIT DU JOUR - Mid-summer nights & fairy tales

I'm attending a good friend's wedding today and was really craving for an outdoor venue, so decided to go with a mid-summer garden theme with my DVF fairy backless top and coral necklace worn on my wrist.  Hope it's not too much since Chinese weddings are relatively conservative!

Well, too late to change my mind - I don't have a backup plan!  Anyways, remember my Goody spin pins?  That's what I used to do my loose side bun.  The only problem is that the bun kept on undoing itself...I guess they were really meant for ballerina chignon than my rolled-out-of-bed look!

Top - Diane Von Furstenberg; Skirt - Club Monaco; Purse worn as clutch - Chanel; Sandals - Balenciaga; Coral Necklace worn as bracelet - Kenneth Jay Lane; Double horsehead cuff - Street vendor; Gold cuff - Kenneth Jay Lane; Earrings - Holt Renfrew (forgot the name of designer)

Pandora Box

(Charlotte Olympia)

I've long been lusting after Charlotte Olympia's 5" heels but never took the time to review their handbag collection.  Since I have 2 weddings to attend this month, I'm in the mood for a pretty little minaudiere.

The Pandora clutch seems to fit all my needs and lip gloss!  The confection is simple yet ingenious: clear plexiglass box with the brand's signature spider clasp and comes with 3 different coloured inserts (without forgetting the spiderweb zipper pull), which really makes it 4 clutch in one!  So contemporary and vintage at the same time!  LOVE!!

OUTFIT DU JOUR - Open Dialogue

I really have nothing to say...so let's just keep an open dialogue and see where that leads us.

Blouse - Zara; Jeans - Club Monaco; Clutch - Zara; Sandals - Zara; Belt - Dries Van Noten; Anklet worn as bracelet - BCBG; Necklace - Street vendor

Naughty & Nice

(Flare September 2011)

Jessica Stam for Flare Sept 2011 entitled Naughty & Nice.  I have contrast in everything (in fashion or character) as it create an interested dimension and complexity.  The naughty and nice theme is such a cliché but delivers instant impact.  And with Jessica portraying both, I'm not quite sure which one I like more...the naughty is so good and the nice is so bad.

GOD SAVE MY SHOES

Inside VOGUE US shoe closet...Carrie, where are you?!?

Anyways, I thought that everyone can enjoy a little piece of shoe heaven for the weekend!

SHOPPING - SSENSE Haul

(Alice & Olivia Diana dress)

(Diesel Davamp tank)

(Alexander Wang Striped tank)

I was really bored at work and found myself online shopping on my usual sites.  Turns out that ssense.com is having their final markdown on spring/summer collection up to 70% off!!!  Ah....music to my ears!

So, after a few minutes, I added the above items in my shopping chart and proceeded to checkout.  And having the store based in Mtl, shipping is free and no surprise duty to be expected!  Hum...maybe I should go back to see what else I can get...

12mm Lashes (part 2)

Following my Obsession du jour - 12mm lashes post recently, I found myself with substantially longer and thicker lashes with just 2 months of daily use of Lumigan!!!

I first started using Lumigan every night with a ultra fine eyeliner brush on both my upper and lower lashes, then soon only on my upper lashes since I figured that the solution migrates to the lower lashes while sleeping. To be honest, I was only able to see a noticeable difference toward the end of the second month.  So a word of advice: be persistent and very patient!

Con: Lumigan did tint my lids (which I was aware of prior to using) and left me with smudged eyeliner effect...It sounds nicer than what it really is because it looks more like I haven't slept in days!!!  The other obvious con is the tedious daily application (I tend to forget and skipped a few days here and there).

Pro: Being blessed with relatively long lashes for an Asian, I was really lacking in the volume department.  Now, each lash looks and feels thicker.  And with a light coat of mascara, it seems like I have eyelash extension (except they're actually my own lashes!).

p.s. I am now taking a break, but will keep using it 2-3 times a week for maintenance.

BAG LUST - The Row 2011

(Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen - The Row Handbag Launch Party at Barneys)

Be sure that newly launched handbag collection by The Row is as minimalist and luxurious as their womenswear counterpart, due to hit Barneys by mid-august.  The lines are pure and simple, making them modern classic and completely anti-it bags!  However, be prepared to pay the price tag that comes along with luxury handbags, which will range from $2,350 to $39,000!!!

My favorites is the grey lizard clutch and the blue crocodile satchel held by Ashley at the launch party...maybe a trip to NYC will be worthwhile afterall.
