The Bigger The Better

My motto has always been "The Bigger The Better".  For me, it applies to almost everything in life, from cars (I'm rather a SUV kinda gal) to heels (no kitten heels here pls), and it most definitely applies to my hair.   I LOVE BIG BOUNCY HAIR! 

Unfortunately for me, I haven't been blessed with big bouncy hair naturally.  In fact, my hair is rather fine.  I even use to dye my hair simply to thicken the strands!  And now, with the anticipation of shedding like no tomorrow after giving birth to my baby girl, I decided to invest in quality shampoo & conditioner.

And so far, the best shampoo I've tried hands down is Kérastase Nutrivive for fine hair (the Bain Satin shampoo and Masqintense masque/conditioner).  Yes it was expensive, but well worth the money if you can afford it.  

But this time with volume in mind, I'm determined to try the Kérastase Volumactive, which was voted Best 2012 shampoo/conditioner for fine hair by InStyle magazine.  It claims to only add volume but also strengthen fine fragile strands...sounds like exactly what my post-natal hair needs!

Saint Laurent proves it: black is still incredibly sexy and easy to wear.  Just mixup some textures and show a flash of skin...a bad-ass tattoo also helps!

PRE-FALL '13 - Lanvin

A girlfriend of mine I met in Shanghai, who also happens to be Canadian, is always dazzling in Lanvin (sometimes head-to-toe but not in a tacky way at all) at social events.  Needless to say, she's a stunning woman...even in jogging pants.  But the "wearable luxury" aesthetics of Lanvin just suits her to a tee!

For this pre-fall collection, Mr Elbaz incorporated jungle prints to his usual monochrome palette.  However, it's so subtle that the snow leopard print almost becomes a neutral.  Oh...and have you noticed the oversized clutch?!?

What's in my purse?

Is it me or it seems like I have more snacks than anything else in my purse lately?!?  Well, being pregnant and always hungry, a quick bite is always good to have handy...just in case I faint (I'm not joking...happened to me a few months ago)!

In any cases, here's what's inside my purse:

• Coffee Crisp
• Keys
• Benetint lip balm SPF15
• Bliss Lemon+Sage body butter
• Prada wallet

Oh yeah, and I just started using my new Zara purse, which matches exactly the same shade of red as my Prada wallet (coincidence!).  It's actually really roomy, enough to carry extra diapers, wet naps, bottle, iPad and Ayden's favourite NYPD car in case he's tagging along.

(Prabal Gurung for Target)

Can I say I love everything about this Prabal Gurung for Target 80+ piece collection?!?  Flirty florals, colour-blocking, feminine shapes...at Target pricing...what's not to love?

Due to be released on Feb 10th, I'm expecting somewhat of the same sellout frenzy as with the Missoni collection (which I missed out...still sad I didn't get anything from the home collection)!  This time around, I'll zoom-in on the top 10 pieces I love (look #2, 6, 7 and 9...is that more than 10 pieces?) and have my AMEX ready on the strike of midnight!

Rapunzel

I immediately thought of Rapunzel, one of my favourite childhood fables, when I saw Toni Garrn modelling for the December issue of Numéro Tokyo.  I know they're probably going for the bohemian chic, but she could be a modern version of Rapunzel (with access to online shopping), right?!?

Like all cat-lovers, I can't stop awwing and wooing when I see cute kitty pictures/videos!  So when I saw the Charlotte Olympia black velvet Kitty flats on Alexa Chung (and she's been wearing them everywhere), I knew I wouldn't find a cuter, more stylish yet comfortable pair of "slippers" out there!

I mean I always like the idea of the slipper trend on others, but not for myself.  Now, as a soon-to-be-mommy of a precious little girl, I am starting to picture myself in them!
